The Mr. Lulu Double Peel is an advanced, two-phase resurfacing treatment designed to deeply clarify the skin while staying gentle enough for even the most sensitive, melanin-rich complexions. The experience begins with an oil-based salicylic acid peel that is massaged into the skin to dissolve hardened sebum, clear congested pores, and loosen the buildup that leads to breakouts and dullness. This first step jump-starts the resurfacing process in a controlled, barrier-respectful way, ensuring the skin is thoroughly prepped and receptive for the next phase of treatment.
Once the skin is perfectly conditioned, a high-concentration acid peel enriched with brightening azelaic acid is applied and expertly massaged into the skin. Because the first layer has already removed pore-clogging debris, this second peel can penetrate more evenly and more deeply—delivering a powerful yet elegant second resurfacing. The combination of acids works to smooth texture, fade post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation, and lift even the most stubborn discoloration. Precare Instructions: Do not exfoliate or use prescription grade retinoids/topicals for 5-7 days prior to treatment.
Aftercare Instructions: After the treatment, clients may experience mild flaking around day 3-5 post treatment. Do not pick or peel skin that may flake. To maximize results, clients are advised to follow a specific post-treatment skincare regimen, including avoiding direct sun exposure, moisturizing regularly, and using gentle products for the next 7 days.
Avoid using makeup, additional exfoliation and actives, excessive sun exposure, external and internal heat stimulators (i.e. hot showers, saunas, sweaty exercise, etc.) following treatment for at least 48 hours. Do not use prescription grade retinoids/topicals for 7 days post treatment.
Recommended Appointments: Treatments are recommended to be performed every 2-4 weeks for best results with at least 3-5 sessions depending on severity or complexity of skin condition.
Contraindications: Not suitable for those with allergies to aspirin and nuts, or metal in the body (e.g., pacemakers and similar devices), pregnant/breastfeeding, epilepsy, heart/liver/kidney disease, severe high blood pressure, autoimmune disease, long-term steroid use, cancer at any time, or blood disorders.
