This treatment runs approximately 55 minutes.
Precare and Postcare Instructions are mandatory to follow.
Precare Instructions: Pretreat the skin with O2 Tox Peel for at least two weeks to comfortably introduce spicules to the skin before receiving the Green Sea Peel. Use O2 Tox Peel at home twice a week for two weeks, and maintain in homecare regimen after Green Sea Peel is complete.
For at least 48 hours before treatment, do not use heavy moisturizers or hydrating masks. This may effect the amount of peeling. Do not manually exfoliate the skin for at least 72 hours prior to treatment. Do not use prescription grade retinoids/topicals at least 7 days prior to treatment. Maintain tyrosinase inhibitors in regimen.
Aftercare Instructions: Do NOT wet the skin for 24 hours post treatment. Only use lightweight moisturizer for 7 days. Discontinue use of additional hydrating products and exfoliation. A prickling sensation in skin can last up to 72 hours. Erythema (redness), light swelling and water pockets in skin can be normal.
Do not use prescription grade retinoids/topicals for 7 days post treatment. Sunscreen use is imperative as well as maintenance of assigned tyrosinase inhibitors in homecare regimen to avoid unwanted hyperpigmentation.
Recommended Appointments: Treatments are recommended to be performed every 4 weeks or as needed. Typically 3 or more sessions are required depending on severity of concern.
Contraindications: Not suitable for those with allergy to shellfish or iodine, eucalyptus or licorice, sunburns, impaired barrier, dermatitis, severe rosacea, sensitive skin, metal in the body (e.g., pacemakers and similar devices), undiagnosed lesions, active infections, herpes, or those with keloid scarring-prone skin.
